The Japanese Language
A N5 lvl non-native’s journey
Hello 😊, what my aim is with this particular post is to give my readers, and potentially new ones, my background and what I will be posting as it’s own blog on my profile that will be housed within its own list.
As stated in the Title and subtitle, I am a non-native of Japan and was born and lived here in the U.S. all of my life. I am currently 40 years old and have always spoken, read, and written the English language. Some of my long-time followers of my other work when I announced that I have begun my journey into learning the 🇯🇵 language we’re encouraging and supportive whilst others…not so much.
As for why I chose to begin this journey there are several reasons.
- Better understanding of Japanese music.
- Understand anime that is not dubbed and/or subbed in English.
- Have the ability to read historical Japanese documents and works on my own.
- Speak, read, and write so that I can interact with like minded people and not have the language barrier.
As this is a new profile and content for me, I have been excited to begin this journey and document my journey as I continually learn 😊. What is planned (so far) for me to post about is not only the language and my journey into learning…
