Introduction post: The Otaku Chronicles
A quick rundown of what you will expect from my blog :)
Konnichiwa and welcome to the Otaku Chronicles! I am going to give you the basics of why I am here and what has brought me here as well, without dragging on and on.
Although this profile is a new one to me, the content I will be posting about is anything but! I am a long time fan of history and have been studying various cultures since 8th grade (1997). DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a professional historian. For around the past six months, as of this particular post, October of 2023. I have began my deep-dive into Japanese history, which I will be making posts about as that is the main theme of this blog. I will also be posting about my journey (continual and currently at the N5 level) as I progress through learning the language and why I chose at 40 years old to learn something other than English…
But Japanese history and the language is not all I will be posting about!.. Alongside the main themes of this blog I will also be posting about various aspects of Japanese culture, Shintoism, anime & manga, and the Japanese music scene.
